Founder and President, Vanessa, is a graduate of the University of Virginia with a B.A. in Spanish and Anthropology. Vanessa brings more than two decades of experience in education and health advocacy to the organization. A Nelson County native, she has worked closely with Farm Worker Communities (FWCs), growers, government agencies, and others to advocate for a better quality of life for farm workers in Central Virginia. She lives in Schuyler with her son.
Wilson is a 2020 graduate of the University of Virginia with a B.A. in Linguistics and Teaching English as a Second Language. His responsibilities include digitizing, collecting, and organizing data, creating education content in English and Spanish, IT support, translation, and other administrative tasks. Wilson is bilingual in English and Spanish and as a first-generation immigrant, he is a tremendous asset to CVFWI.
