Central Virginia Farm Workers Initiative

COVID Mitigation Collaboration

CVFWI is spearheading the 2021 CMC to promote COVID-19 safety and to provide COVAX education to Migrant and Seasonal Farmworkers in Nelson County. We are partnering with farmworkers and growers to advocate with the Virginia Department of Health and others for the earliest possible access to the vaccine. CVFWI is providing culturally and linguistically appropriate COVAX education to the workers.

Pictured here is one of our COVAX education sessions taking place in a local orchard. To view, an article about the first mass vaccination event for farmworkers in Nelson County click here.
